Privacy Policy
Effective October 21, 2026
- We collect what we need to deliver your order: your name, contact details, delivery address and what you buy.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- We don't sell your information, show you ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time: hello@kwinzo.com.
Who we are
Kwinzo ("Kwinzo", "we", "us") is a local delivery service in Allen, Texas. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the Kwinzo app, kwinzo.com, kwinzo.app, or contact us. Questions? Email hello@kwinzo.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored by our sign-in provider in a protected (hashed) form; we can't see them. If you shop as a guest, we create an anonymous account on your device and ask for an email for your receipt and order updates.
- Profile and order details: your name, phone number, delivery address, apartment or gate details, the items you order, any tip, and any promo or referral code you use.
- Print orders: photos and documents you upload for printing, and your print settings.
- Passport photo camera: if you use the guided camera for passport photos, it checks your face position, lighting and background live, on your device only. We don't collect, store or share face measurements or any other biometric data; only the final photo you choose to use is uploaded, and it's deleted like other print files.
- Package pickups: what's in your packages, their sizes and value, any notes, your signed declaration, and, for local delivery, the recipient's name, phone number and address. If you ask us to print a label, the label or QR code file you upload (which also shows the names and addresses on it). Our drivers take photos of your packages when they collect and hand them over.
- Waitlist: your email and, if you choose, your ZIP code or address, when you ask us to tell you when we deliver to you.
- Messages: anything you send us, for example by email.
Information collected automatically
- Notification token: if you allow notifications, a device token so we can send you order updates.
- App storage: the app saves a few things on your device so it works between visits: your cart and saved items, your sign-in session, and your email if you choose "remember me". We don't use advertising cookies.
- Technical records: our hosting and server providers keep standard logs (such as IP address, browser type and times of requests) for security and to keep the service running.
We don't use your device's GPS location. We check whether we deliver to you using the address you type in.
Information from payments
When you pay, Stripe collects your card details directly on its own secure payment page. Stripe tells us whether the payment succeeded, the amount, and any refund. We don't receive your full card number.
How we use your information
- To take, prepare, deliver and support your orders, including refunds and cancellations.
- To check that your address is inside our delivery area and to calculate prices, tax and delivery fees.
- To send account emails (such as email verification and password resets), receipts, and order updates by email or push notification.
- To run offers fairly: we record which email, phone number and address have already used a first-order offer, promo code or referral reward, so each is used only as intended.
- To tell you when we start delivering to your area, if you joined the waitlist.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, keep the service secure, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- To improve our service and decide where to expand, for example by looking at which areas people ask for.
We send marketing messages only if you've asked to hear from us (such as the waitlist), and you can opt out at any time by replying or emailing us.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with companies that help us run Kwinzo, under contracts that limit how they can use it:
| Provider | What they do for us |
|---|---|
| Google (Firebase and Google Cloud) | Sign-in, database, file storage, servers, website hosting and push notifications |
| Google Maps Platform | Looking up and checking delivery addresses |
| Stripe | Processing payments and refunds |
| Resend | Sending account and order emails |
| Cloudflare | Domain services and forwarding emails sent to our kwinzo.com addresses |
The people delivering your order see the name, phone number, address and items they need to complete it. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of our customers or staff, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business (in which case this policy would continue to apply).
How long we keep it
- Print files, package labels and package photos are deleted automatically 30 days after the order is delivered or cancelled. Uploads that never become part of an order are deleted after 2 days.
- Account and profile details are kept while you have an account. When you delete your account (in the app, or by emailing us), we delete them right away.
- Order and payment records are kept as long as the law requires for tax and accounting (generally at least four years for Texas sales tax records), even after an account is deleted. When an account is deleted, we remove the name, email, phone number and apartment details from these records, along with any package recipient's details and the name on your package declaration.
- Offer-use records (which email, phone or address has used an offer) are kept so offers can't be reused, and are deleted when no longer needed for that purpose.
- Waitlist entries are kept until we deliver to your area or you ask us to remove them.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- see the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy;
- correct it (you can also edit your name, phone and address in the app's Profile screen);
- delete it, including your account. You can also do this yourself in the app: Profile, then Delete account;
- stop marketing messages.
Email hello@kwinzo.com from the address on your account. We'll respond within 45 days and won't treat you differently for making a request. If we can't fulfil a request, we'll tell you why, and you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our answer. You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings.
Security
Your information is stored with major cloud providers and sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Access to customer data inside Kwinzo is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affecting your information ever happens, we'll notify you as the law requires.
Children
Kwinzo is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email before they take effect.
